My HEALTH JOURNEY
After multiple pregnancies, miscarriages, weight gain and a general deterioration in health, I found myself sitting on the sidelines of my own life watching my boys growing up, not engaging in the way I’d always envisioned I would as a mum.
I was disillusioned with my body, in my eyes it had done nothing but let me down and betray me at every opportunity. Little did I know that my body was my greatest ally, constantly communicating with me about what it needs to function so that I can live life to the full.
I found myself looking 8 months pregnant on a daily basis, so fatigued I was barely functioning, brain fog clouding every thought, PMS symptoms like you wouldn’t believe, and a libido that I had a vague memory of but had lost somewhere along the way. All very common, yes, but none of it NORMAL!
I’d tried lots of different things with nothing working and was quickly approaching rock bottom. That’s when I engaged in functional nutrition. The change was dramatic and I knew with a fire in my belly that what I was learning needed to be shared far and wide. It all made so much sense and the changes I was implementing was having such a huge impact on my health and the wellbeing of my family.
Dream it
Don’t wait for the perfect time to get your health in balance. Invest in you now. There are always reasons why we think we should wait for that perfect moment.
But the truth is if you don’t take the time now it will only cost you more later.
BUILD it
Putting yourself first goes against so much of what we think it is to be a good Mum. We come last and its showing in our health - I lived it too. Building your health is not selfish its an investment in the entire health of your family
